Here are some important things for you to start your life in NUS:

Student id & nus net id

If you’ve followed the registration guide, you should have receive this information as part of “Registration part 1” and might have come about with the terms Student ID and NUS Net ID. What are the differences and usage of the two?

Student ID E.g. A01234567X
Commonly referred to as matriculation number.

NUS Net ID E.g. E0123456.
Your username for most of the NUS platforms such as (NUS webmail, Luminus, Canvas, NUSync, EduRec).

You will come across this screen when trying to log in to most NUS platforms.

In order to log in, be sure to include the NUSSTU\ domain before entering your NUSNET ID. Simply replace <E0123456> & <PASSWORD> with your own NUS Net ID and password respectively.

User: NUSSTU\<E0123456>
Pass: <PASSWORD>

*The “NUSSTU\” is not Case-Sensitive

Your NUSNET ID is also what you will be using to log in to the NUS Campus Wifi.

*Your NUSNET password will expire every half a year, roughly around Dec and end-May/start-June. An automatic email will be sent to remind you to change your password here.

Please remember to change your password or you will be not be able to access any NUSNET services (email/wifi) until you do.

You would receive this card as part of “Registration part 2”.

Important for identity verification and access around campus for both academic and on-academic matters.

Try to keep it on you at all times!

NUS EZLINK CARD (OPTIONAL)

Your optional student concession card.

Fares applied are the same as adult ezlink cards out there unless concession plans or other exceptions are possessed.

Pulse Secure (NUS VPN)

It allows you to access platforms that are only accessible with NUS Campus Wifi, away from campus.

With the current climate it is essential to have installed on your device!

Desktop/Notebook

The latest VPN software with configuration and installation will be downloaded to you automatically upon your login to the nVPN portal.
